Transforaminal Epidural Injection ( Lumbar Spine)

Transforaminal epidural injection is a minimally invasive therapeutic technique used for the management of pain caused by irritation or compression of spinal nerve roots, most commonly due to disc herniation or spinal canal stenosis.

Technical procedure

The method involves the targeted administration of a local anesthetic, often combined with corticosteroid, around the nerve root as it exits the intervertebral foramen.
